Some Tottenham fans have popped into the Football Transfer Tavern after today’s home fixture with Crystal Palace and their attention has immediately been caught by the latest transfer speculation emerging in the bar.
The news comes from Metro who report that Tottenham have been offered Barcelona attacker Isaac Cuenca on loan for the rest of the season by a third party agent.
The 22-year-old, who was at Ajax last season, impressed during his spell at the Amsterdam Arena and could now be heading to White Hart Lane.
Since returning to his parent club the youngster has struggled to make a breakthrough in the first team due to injuries and another loan move could be the cards.
Cuenca has previously admitted that he would love to play in the Premier League and Barca have supposedly said they will pay half his wages as they seek to increase his development at the Camp Nou.
This could see newly appointed Spurs boss Tim Sherwood moving for the highly rated forward as he looks to strengthen his attack.
Yesterday finally saw confirmation that Jermain Defoe is heading for the MLS with Toronto in March and that has left the Lilywhites looking light up front.
