Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are drawing up their potential defensive set up for next season after talkSPORT revealed that they are on the verge of landing Burnley defender Kieran Trippier.
The Clarets boss Sean Dyche has confirmed that it is an “active deal” which suggests the full-back could become a Spurs player imminently.
The 24-year-old had a very impressive season with Burnley, despite their relegation, and he is seen as a good back up to Kyle Walker who has had a couple of injuries recently.
Burnley have already lost a key player in Danny Ings, who joined Liverpool, following his 11 goals last season.
Trippier, who was an ever present for Sean Dyche, looked very comfortable in the top flight and also managed to chip in with four assists.
The former Manchester City trainee has now worked his way to the top flight and now that he has impressed with Burnley, he is determined to stay there with Spurs.
