They’re confused for many reasons this season but the issue they’re debating at the moment is The Mirror’s claims that they want to bring Steven Caulker back to White Hart Lane.
Caulker (pictured) only left the North London club last summer after a deal to Cardiff City was agreed and it now seems that his move could be reversed with a clause in his contractual paperwork allowing a return to Tottenham.
It’s left the Tottenham fans in here puzzled as to why he was sold in the first place.
But Caulker isn’t the only Bluebirds player that has got the attention of many of the Premier League’s elite this season with goalkeeper David Marshall also earning rave reviews and a sterling reputation in South Wales.
Cardiff are resigned to losing their best players this summer after succumbing to relegation following their defeat to Newcastle United at the weekend with Gary Medel also on the list of star players set to exit.
Tottenham are in danger of losing their top class stopper with Hugo Lloris disappointed that the club were unable to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The Frenchman has been linked with some of Europe’s elite including Barcelona in recent weeks and it will be difficult for Spurs to keep hold of him if the Catalan giants formalise their interest.
Marshall has proved his Premier League credibility this season with numerous saves and the 29-year-old Scottish international would be available for around £6 million.
Tottenham fans. Would Marshall be a suitable replacement for Hugo Lloris should he leave for Champions League football? Let us know your thoughts below.
