Tottenham Hotspur fans assembled in the Transfer Tavern for the Europa League clash with Anderlecht this evening and quickly started discussing a tasty rumour from the continent, which suggests two new faces could arrive from the same club.
The Daily Mail suggests Tottenham are keen to bring both Laurent Depoitre and Moses Simon, who both star for Belgian side Gent.
It’s stated the North London sides sent scouts to watch the duo in action for their side against Valencia in the Champions League, with towering-striker Depoitre topping Mauricio Pochettino’s January wishlist.
Spurs are keen to bolster their attacking options to improve their chances of securing a place in the Champions League next season, with the club continuing to eye potential partners for Harry Kane; who carries the majority of the Lilywhites’ attacking burden.
Depoitre has scored six goals in 14 games for the Belgian league leaders and also netted on his international debut, with the 26-year-old expected to be a part of Belgium’s squad in next summer’s European Championships.
