Tottenham Hotspur are no strangers to leaving their business late in the transfer window, however, this summer means they may have left it just a little too late.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have not yet signed anybody despite a belief that the Argentine wants to add a couple of bodies to help cover his squad and help to keep them competitive throughout the season.
However, it is understood that player arrivals may only happen if Spurs decide to offload some of their own players this summer and reports are starting to suggest the White Hart Lane outfit could be prepared to listen to offers for a trio.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are thought to be willing to consider potential bids for Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Mousa Dembele, with all three having been linked with moves away from north London recently.
The Belgium pair both have their contracts expiring next summer and Spurs could be prepared to cash in on them with interest from across Europe for both of them, whilst the England international is thought to have suitors in the Premier League.
The news that Spurs are willing to listen to offers for the trio does not really come as a surprise, however, the club may have left it too late to get the price they want for them.
Alderweireld has had contract disputes, whilst Dembele has continued to stall over the possibility of a new one. Rose has publicly criticised the club before and it does not appear as the public apology he issued has smoothed the cracks.
There is no doubt that the three are talented, however, it remains to see if Pochettino can offload them with enough time, as he looks to get a number of targets in the door himself.
