The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager to see a resolution to the Danny Rose saga…
He recently gave an interview to the Sun that has left his Tottenham future looking uncertain, with the Englishman admitting that he would consider a move away from White Hart Lane if offered an exit.
This is, seemingly, something that is concerning Mauricio Pochettino, and whilst the defender looks likely to stay at Tottenham for the time being, the same cannot be said for his long-term aspirations.
It makes sense, then, that Tottenham would consider bringing in a potential replacement, and according to the Mirror, that is exactly what they are looking to do. John Cross of the Mirror reports that Tottenham have had a £25 million move for Ryan Sessegnon turned down – with current side Fulham keen to hang on to him. Significantly, though, Tottenham are said to be ‘desperate’ to land the defender, and so any suggestion that their interest is over is off the mark.
Sessegnon has impressed for current side Fulham over the last year or so, with his limited years certainly not affecting his quality on the field.
He looks destined to move into the Premier League sooner or later, and Pochettino clearly wants to bring him in quickly.
For Tottenham, Sessegnon ticks all of the boxes.
He is a very young talented player, and no manager in the Premier League is as good as Mauricio Pochettino at developing young players.
An expert on the left-hand side, he will be the perfect player to take over from Danny Rose when the time comes – whether that be in one year, two years or five years.
