Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to secure silverware in the next campaign, as they failed to do so this season.
Mauricio Pochettino worked wonders this season as his Spurs side managed to reach the FA Cup final and enjoyed some success in the Champions League. Although, it looks as if the London club are now out of the race to sign one of their former players, as according to Football.London, Tottenham do not believe bringing Gareth Bale back to North London is a realistic prospect this summer.
Tottenham reportedly do have a buy-back clause for Bale, which was inserted in the deal which took him to Real for a world-record fee in 2013.
However, it’s understood that Tottenham do not believe bringing Gareth Bale back to North London is a realist prospect this summer, as the Welshman’s most recent Real Madrid contract, a six-year deal signed in 2016, is believed to have increased his wages to £600,000-a-week (£350,000-a-week after tax).
So, Tottenham are now reportedly out of the race to sign Gareth Bale, a man who has admirers all around the world, as signing him is not believed to be a realistic prospect this summer. Therefore, Spurs will need to turn their attention elsewhere, as supporters are calling out for an attacking addition.
