Tottenham risk losing Lloris to Barcelona

Hugo Lloris It’s been a pretty awful season for Tottenham Hotspur this season as their fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are fully aware of.

Not only did they lose Bale, but they also reinvested the money badly – barring Eriksen, failed to qualify for the Champions League AND lost to arch rivals West Ham United three times in one season.

The Mail believe that it’s all become too much for Tottenham’s star man Hugo Lloris with the Frenchman rumoured to be looking for Champions League football next campaign.

Barcelona have recently seen their transfer embargo lifted and they look set to celebrate by making the Frenchman their number one.

The Catalans are actively looking for a replacement for long-term goalkeeper Victor Valdes who has been ruled out for seven months.

Valdes underwent surgery in late March after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in a 3-0 win over Celta Vigo – meaning that he will miss the World Cup.

Lloris has been one of the rare highlights of a dour season for Tottenham this season and it’s no suprise that the goalkeeper feels he deserves Champions League football at the club.

The only way they may be able to keep the stopper is if they make a key managerial appointment and invest highly in the summer.

Tottenham fans. Would it be unfair to keep Lloris at the club or should he give you one more season?
