Tottenham rocked as manager reveals intention to manage European giant

pochettino9Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen a bad week take a turn for the worst, as their manager has admitted he’d like to manager one of Europe’s biggest sides.

The Daily Express, citing reports from French outlet RMC Sportquotes Mauricio Pochettino as admitting he’d like to manage Paris Saint-Germain.

Argentine boss Pochettino has excelled at White Hart Lane since making the move from Southampton, leading Spurs back into the Champions League and pushing for the Premier League title, although their hopes of success were shattered as they dropped points against West Brom on Monday evening.

Now fans have more reason to be concerned though, as Pochettino revealed his ‘dream’ of managing PSG:

“I have always said that one day it would be a pleasure to manage a big club like Paris. It’s part of my dreams. I try to watch all of their games, especially in the Champions League and sometimes I speak with [PSG assistant coach] Jean-Louis Gasset. Return to Paris one day, why not?”

Whilst Pochettino’s comments suggest a move further down the line, it could spark the French champions into action as they’re not happy with Laurent Blanc’s performances in European competitions, despite PSG storming to the Ligue 1 title again this term.
