It’s been a worrying week for Tottenham supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern after their 6-0 stuffing at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday.
Current manager Andre Villas-Boas is under growing pressure following a string of bad results, although most in the tavern believe he is still the man to take them forward.
Tottenham are looking to sign Basel star Mohamed Salah in January as Villas-Boas attempts to save their season, according to The Mirror.
The rising star of Egyptian football was the man that twice put Chelsea to the sword as he scored in both victories over the Blues and this has reportedly brought about interest from the Premier League.
Tottenham sent sporting director Franco Baldini to watch the £20 million valued man as Chelsea travelled to Switzerland for the group match.
It is well known that Spurs are struggling to find the right combination on the wings and Salah could offer a viable new option for the Portuguese manager.
Summer signing Nacer Chadli has failed to impress since his arrival while record signing Erik Lamela has also seriously struggled after making the switch to North London in the recent transfer window.
And with Basel prepared to sell for the right price, Spurs are ready to make a bid once the winter window opens.
Can you see the Egyptian star arriving at White Hart Lane? How impressed have you been with his Champions League performances? Let us know your thoughts below.
