Tottenham Hotspur appear to have had a busy few days of watching Italian football over the recent weekend.
According to a report by Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs watched a number of players in action, with the likes of Franck Kessie, Suso and Joachim Andersen all believed to have been on their radar.
However, it also appears another player is on Mauricio Pochettino’s thoughts, with it being claimed the Premier League outfit were interested in seeing how well Ivan Perisic played.
The Croatian attracted plenty of interest from north London rivals Arsenal in January, however, a move failed to materialise as The Gunners were not prepared to buy him outright, per The Express.
And, now it seems that Tottenham could look to bring the £36million-rated attacker, per Transfermarkt, to the capital in the summer.
The 30-year-old has not had the best of campaigns for Inter Milan this season, as he has just three goals in 29 appearances, although he has provided six assists.
Tottenham’s interest in Perisic does come as a surprise, considering he is not the type of player Pochettino would normally look to have at his club.
There is no doubt that the 30-year-old has quality, but there will be concerns about how much they can get out of him in the Premier League.
As mentioned, the Croatia international has not had the best of seasons in Italy so far, and with a big fee likely have to be paid, whether Spurs look to make a move in the summer for him remains to be seen.
