Tottenham Hotspur fans are flying high in the Transfer Tavern this season but they’re concerned their club could be raided come the summer, particularly for their excellent manager.
Fortunately, The Telegraph reports the north London side could be set for a major cash injection from the United States and China, which will boost their chances of keeping hold of Mauricio Pochettino.
Since moving to White Hart Lane, the Argentine boss has assembled a quality squad brimming with young English talent and has pushed Spurs towards their first title in over half a century, as they keep pace with leaders Leicester City at the back end of this dramatic campaign.
Naturally though, that’s led to some interest in Pochettino’s services as some big clubs are looking for a fresh approach this summer. Whilst Spurs should have enough to convince their manager to stay put, it’s still a worrying thought.
Rather than a full takeover, money would come from former American sports agent Jeff Moorad and he’s attempting to secure financial investment into the club.
With money talking in modern football, it’s certainly an exciting prospect for Spurs and will only prove to be beneficial.
