Tottenham Hotspur won’t accept anything less than a place in the top four this season having impressed in North London, despite not spending a penny back in the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites managed to produce a dominant display against Chelsea recently, so they could find themselves in the race for the title if things continue to go their way. And, it appears as if Daniel Levy’s Tottenham are eyeing a potential swoop, as according to Sport Bild (via The Sun), Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle Arsenal for Hoffenheim attacker Nadiem Amiri’s signature.
Sadly, the 22-year-old is yet to feature this season for German side Hoffenheim as he recovers from a foot injury.

However, his current situation hasn’t affected Tottenham’s pursuit in the slightest, as Spurs and North London rivals Arsenal are believed to be leading the chase.
With Spurs making moves in the Premier League and in the Champions League, they may just be the most attractive option, as it’s understood that the German youth international would be open to offers to top European side’s who are challenging for titles.
Although, it would be sensible for Levy to wait until the summer, as clubs can reportedly sign Amiri next summer for £15 million, due to a clause in his contract.
Spurs could do with bringing another attacking midfielder to the club to offer them a different dynamic, with the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen already in their ranks.
The German youth international has plenty of potential and has already showcased his talents during his time in the first-team at Hoffenheim, with the Gunners and Spurs eyeing a move.
After failing to spend a single penny back in the summer months, Levy is clearly showing intent by planning ahead to a potential swoop at the end of the season.
