Metro have a claim that has Tottenham fans looking up from their pints here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
They note that the club could well be set to get rid of three players before transfer deadline day.
After having one of the busiest summers that we can remember, Spurs have been quiet this winter, yet all the drama could occur late in the window.
As one of our punters notes over his dinner, when clubs change manager as Spurs have done, certain players are not favoured by the new boss, and subsequently head toward the exit door.
This seems to be the case for two stars who came in the summer and one who arrived not to long before.
Nacer Chadli, Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue are all linked with moves away this week and it seems that Sherwood would be happy to see all of them depart White Hart Lane.
Holtby promised such big things but has since failed to deliver and has been linked with a move back to the Bundesliga whilst Capoue has been called lazy by his new manager.
This is not to mention Belgian star Chadli who is concerned about his lack of action ahead of the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
Are Holtby, Capoue and Chadli all primed for the White Hart Lane exit door? Let us know your thoughts below.
