The 19-year-old winger is believed to be on the verge of joining Bologna; however, the media outlet claim Danish sources are fearing a late move from Spurs is keeping the deal between the Serie A outfit and FC Nordsjaelland from happening.
The Italian outfit are said to be getting fed up with the delays and are thought to have handed the teenager an ultimatum as they want a decision by the beginning of next week.
It is not the first time that Spurs have been linked with a move for Skov Olsen, with The Mirror claiming in June that he was on the Premier League side’s transfer radar, however, nothing regarding a move has materialised.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham do look to act upon their alleged interest in Skov Olsen and make a late attempt in trying to hijack a move this summer.
Still only 19-years-old, the teenage winger managed to record a hugely impressive 26 goals in his 44 matches across all competitions last season (Transfermarkt).
As Football Whispers detailed in their stats review of the teenager, there is plenty of promise with what he can achieve in the future. His average of 3.35 shots per match is outstanding, whilst his 5.92 touches in the opposition box per match is truly exceptional.
To put those figures in context, Football Whispers state Lucas Moura managed just 1.96 shots per match, whereas the much-more established Son Heung-min managed just slightly more than the Dane with 3.36 attempts every 90 minutes.
However, with the addition of Jack Clarke this summer and despite his subsequent return to Leeds United on loan, whether Mauricio Pochettino feels he needs another young right-winger added to his squad in the current transfer window is something only time will tell, especially with the likes of Moura, Son and Erik Lamela already at the club.
