The Sun have a rather interesting claim for Tottenham supporting punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
They claim that Tim Sherwood was rather unimpressed with certain players he inherited at White Hart Lane.
The summer purchase of Etienne Capoue is one of the players that the new manager has marked out as being a problem at the club. Capoue is reportedly lazy and even worse, unprofessional.
As one of our punters quips, there is no room for players like that in any Premier League side, with the fight for European places harder than ever, and Sherwood facing pressure in his new role from day one.
Capoue is thought to be a target for Napoli, who are managed by former Liverpool manager and Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez.
Over the bar, one of our punters orders another pint and some tavern snacks and notes that Capoue is one of a fair few players who could be on the way out of the North London club.
Sherwood is reportedly looking to shake things up and of course bring some players in who he considers to be his own.
It has been a rather disappointing season for Spurs so far, but our Lilywhites’ fans in the tavern are hopeful this is the start of something new for them.
Will Spurs let Capoue leave? Do you think he is lazy? Let us know your thoughts below.
