Tottenham Hotspur fans are having a friendly game of darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that a player who left the club in September is still having his wages paid.
That means any move to another club must go through Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, with regards to how much of his weekly wage a new club should pay.
Adebayor is reported to be holding out for move to Chelsea, with Mourinho a big fan of the big striker having him join Real Madrid on loan during his tenure at the club. A move to Chelsea could prove problematic due to tensions between Levy and the top brass at Stamford Bridge.
Watford were another club who were interested in signing Adebayor even offering the striker the chance to train with the club, an offer he has so far rejected.
The Tottenham fans in The Transfer Tavern are not at all happy with the player still being paid by the club, and feel Levy should find a way of getting the big striker of the wage bill if at all possible.
