Tottenham Hotspur will want to forget about yesterday’s result at Wembley Stadium as they were beaten 3-1 by Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Spurs will need to work very hard to get themselves back into the Premier League title picture as Liverpool don’t look like slowing down anytime soon. And, to make things even worse, it appears as if the North London club have suffered a transfer setback, as according to The Mirror, Arsenal have joined the race to sign Max Aarons.
Arsenal plan to match any move bitter rivals Tottenham make for Norwich right-back Max Aarons.
Importantly, it’s thought that Spurs are in primary position, though the Canaries have made it clear that they won’t strike up any deal unless he is allowed to return to Carrow Road for the remainder of this season.
The youngster has come on leaps and bounds in the current campaign as one of the standout performers in the Championship, which has caught the attention of a number of clubs.
Max Aarons wouldn’t be able to push Kieran Trippier off his perch at this moment in time, but he could definitely enjoy a bright future at Spurs if they manage to secure his services.
Of course, it will come as a big blow that North London rivals Arsenal have joined the race as they could easily lure him away, but supporters will be hopeful that their side can get a deal done.
