Tottenham superstar rejects new contract offer, wants better deal

llorisllorisTottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have grown concerned today after hearing one of their star players has rejected a new contract at White Hart Lane.

The Daily Mirror states French international Hugo Lloris has turned down an offer from the north London sides, as he seeks a better offer from his current employers.

29-year-old Lloris is a key player at Tottenham but Daniel Levy is keen to get his future tied down, although he still has three-years remaining on his deal, with the Spurs chairman looking to get a five-year deal agreed.

However, Lloris is keen to become one of the best paid goalkeepers in the world and Tottenham will have to increase their offer to the loyal Frenchman, or face the risk of Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain making a move after their long-term admiration.

Although the risk of Lloris leaving this summer is low, with Spurs securing Champions League football for next season, Spurs are keen to erase any possibility of them losing the player.

Spurs fans, should you pay whatever it takes to keep Lloris? Let us know in the comments below!
