Spurs will be looking to add pace to their squad for next season, and it seems that’s the only missing piece to the puzzle. Suso’s attacking threat would bring that in abundance.
The 25-year-old has scored seven and made nine assists in the league this campaign, blowing full-backs away with his pace and direct attacking style. Spurs would reach the next level if they can add him to their already formidable attacking line-up.
They need another goalscoring threat ahead of their title challenge because that’ll leave defenders with an impossible choice between marking Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, Heung-min Son or Suso. Imagine those four running at you.
The report claims Suso has a release clause of £33m, so he wouldn’t be so expensive considering the deals for other attackers around the world at the moment. However, he’s valued at £40.5m on Transfermarkt and there could be a bidding war on the cards, if all three clubs decide to pursue the winger.
Some may remember his days as a Liverpool player between 2010-2015, where he made just eight starts. He could right those wrongs by signing for Spurs, and, if he does, he’d certainly land them in the title race next season.
