Tottenham Hotspur could look to head into the January transfer market with a need to add a defender to their ranks.
Spurs already have a number of players that can play in the back line, however, it is believed Mauricio Pochettino wants to add suitable depth, as his squad has some concerns.
Jan Vertonghen has suffered a serious injury that could keep him out of action until December, whilst Toby Alderweireld’s future at the club looks increasingly in doubt as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Despite having the likes of Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez as options, Spurs will need to look at their long-term future with doubts currently surrounding their first-team stars.
Vertonghen is not getting any younger, whilst Alderweireld’s situation continues to fuel transfer talk that could ultimately happen, should he not sign a new deal.
Andersen is an attractive option for Spurs and is likely to be one of their cheaper options, as €30m is not considered to be an extreme amount of money for a talented player in this day and age.
