Tottenham transfer target Jackson Martinez has admitted there is a good chance he will be leaving Porto this summer.
Andre Villas-Boas is thought to be a big admirer of the £15 million rated Colombian striker, who has bagged 26 goals in 30 league appearances for Porto since signing for the club Portuguese giants in 2012.
His goalscoring record has obviously brought him to the attention of the rest of Europe’s elite and it is believed Villas-Boas sees him as the next best thing after seemingly missing out on the signing of Internacional’s Leandro Damiao.
Martinez told talkSPORT: “We have to talk a lot about my future.
“Right now, there is nothing concrete, but yes, there are some options to leave this summer. I will contact Porto and then wait and see what might happen.”
Spurs will no doubt be in the market for goal scorers this summer as rumours pick up that Villas-Boas is ready to allow strikers Emmanuel Adebayor or Jermain Defoe to leave this summer, and Martinez looks to be the perfect tonic as the White Hart Lane outfit prepare for yet another shot at finishing in the top four next season.
They will, however, have t0 compete with the likes of Zenit St Petersburg and Borrusia Dortmund if they are to be successful in tempting this Colombian goal machine to the Premier League.
