As Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern prepare for a busy summer they have concerns, with talkSPORT ruling out another potential target after Duvan Zapata’s agent said his client was happy at Napoli.
The powerful Columbian striker has had limited game time under former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and this has given Spurs the urge to make a bid.
But the 23-year-old is supposedly happy to stay in Naples despite his lack of first team football and a reflection of his attitude was clear.
After he was handed a rare start on Monday night, he managed to bag the first goal of he game, in a bid to prove his worth to the team.
That was only his fourth start in the league as he tries to push himself into Benitez’s title challenging squad.
Zapata’s agent, Fernando Schena, has said that his client is ready for the challenge and will fight for his place.
“Duvan is very happy with what he’s doing at Napoli,” Schena said. “He’s trying to make the most of the opportunities Benitez gives him. That said, he’s not satisfied, he wants to score again.
“Targets? That’s simple, to score more and give Benitez a headache in selecting the starting striker.
“He still has three years on his contract, it’s down to the club to make a decision.”
