While Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are focusing on possible life without Welsh star Gareth Bale after reports of £85m bid from Real Madrid the Lilywhite supporters have been offered better news from the Daily Star who report that summer target Adem Ljajic has indicated he wants to leave Fiorentina and could be set for a possible switch to White Hart Lane.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is currently holding talks with the Florence side but Viola coach Vincenzo Montella has now admitted that the highly-rated Serbian star is unhappy at the club.
“He’s experiencing an internal conflict,” Montella told reporters. “He has not looked very serene in recent days. What can I say, there are economic problems which are not easy.
“I’m willing to wait, just as long as he’s serene, and today he doesn’t look all that serene. I’m still convinced that [staying with Fiorentina] would be the best solution for him.”
After some impressive displays in Serie A with Fiorentina a number of clubs across Europe are thought to be considering a move for the player who was rejected by Manchester United after a short trial period with the club in 2009.
Italian giants AC Milan are expected to offer Spurs fierce competition for the creative midfielder, who hit 12 goals in 31 Serie A games last year as he reaches his final year of his current contract at the Florence-based club.
