Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to face West Ham United on Wednesday night, in what will be their second game in three days.
Spurs are coming off the back of a Manchester City defeat in the Premier League, however, they will face the Hammers for a place in the League Cup quarter-finals.
Mauricio Pochettino will want to see his side perform better than what they did against the Etihad Stadium outfit on Monday and will want to progress in a tournament that they feel they have a chance of winning.
Both Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are believed to be available for the game and Pochettino could look to use the fixture as a means of bringing the pair back up to fitness following injury layoffs.
However, he will likely rest a number of his stars following the game against Manchester City, which could see the likes of Harry Kane be given a rare break, whilst Moussa Sissoko may get another chance to impress after being considered their best player on Monday night.
Having both Eriksen and Alli available will be a huge boost to Tottenham on Wednesday, although it remains to be seen if the pair will be used.
Despite having spent time on the sidelines, Pochettino may look to keep them fresh for their Premier League encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend.
However, Fernando Llorente is likely to lead the line as the Argentine will look to ring the changes and freshen up his team for the league meeting, although it could be his best chance to finally end Spurs’ trophy drought.
