Vertonghen’s return will be a huge boost for Tottenham and Pochettino as they have a number of concerns with injuries.
With the festive period getting into full swing, the Argentine could look at making changes to try and keep his squad as fresh as possible and also look to try and limit the number of knocks his players receive.
Spurs also have a crunch game against Barcelona in midweek in the Champions League, so changes will likely be made ahead of Saturday’s trip to the King Power Stadium.
