Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to start their Champions League campaign off with a positive result in Italy as they play Inter Milan in the opener.
Hugo Lloris remains out of the team with a thigh problem that has forced him out of the last couple of games.
The World Cup-winning goalkeeper’s absence was clearly felt during their weekend defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League and Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping Michel Vorm can produce a better performance this time out.
To make things worse for the Argentine manager, Lloris is expected to be out for several weeks with the problem.
Dele Alli will also be another huge miss for the north London outfit after he picked up a minor hamstring injury whilst on international duty with England.
The midfielder is expected to be back in action in the near future, as he also missed the defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.
Moussa Sissoko is also absent from the team that travelled to Italy as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury himself, leaving Pochettino short of options out wide, although Lucas Moura has been playing outstandingly well.
Tottenham are in a tough Champions League group with the likes of Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven rounding off Group B.
Pochettino will know that his side will need to get a positive result against Inter Milan on Tuesday evening if they are to have any chance of progressing to the next round of the competition.
However, the absences of Alli and Lloris could be huge for Spurs in this game and the manager will be hopeful the team play a lot better than they did in their Premier League defeat to Liverpool at the weekend.
