There is some stunning transfer speculation arriving into the Football Transfer Tavern this evening as Metro brings the latest reports from France.
Apparently these reports suggest that Manchester City want to swap goalkeeper Joe Hart for Tottenham’s keeper Hugo Lloris in the summer.
French paper L’Equipe understand that Lloris wants to play in the Champions League next season, something that won’t be possible at White Hart Lane.
And that could see the French international keeper heading to the Etihad Stadium with Manuel Pellegrini willing to send England number one Joe Hart to White Hart Lane in exchange.
Hart was dropped by Pellegrini during the earlier stages of the season due to inconsistent performances but since his return, he has been in fine form. But despite this, the former Malaga boss would be interested in seeing Lloris coming in as his replacement.
While Spurs fans would be gutted to lose the Frenchman, at least Hart would provide a suitable replacement for whoever takes the managerial position at White Hart Lane.
We’re not sure if this audacious transfer goalkeeping swap deal has any legs but what do you think? Let us know your thoughts below.
