Milner is disillusioned with the amount of playing time he is currently getting at the Etihad Stadium and according to Metro, he will spend the summer looking for first team action.
He only started 17 games for the Manchester club this season and it’s believed that Milner is prepared to give up on Champions League football just to become a first team starter at a club.
That has put numerous clubs on high alert including Europa League qualified clubs such as Everton and Tottenham who could lure the England international after the World Cup.
Milner joined Manchester City in a £20 million deal from fellow Premier League outfit Aston Villa in 2010 but he’s unwilling to negotiate a new deal.
He’s not the only English player set for the doors at the Etihad with Micah Richards, Gareth Barry, Joleon Lescott, Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair all set for the exit door.
And that could leave a problem for City who need eight homegrown players in their squad.
