Newcastle United fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern can hardly wait for the season to end, after a wretched run of five consecutive defeats.
And sources at the Daily Star have more bad news for Toon fans, with reports suggesting goalkeeper Tim Krul will consider his future at the club at the end of the season.
Premier League rivals Tottenham are reportedly keen to sign the Dutch international, whilst Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are also thought to be interested.
Alan Pardew is looking to reshape his squad in the summer, and Krul is one of the players he is desperate to keep.
But the 26-year-old was left out of Louis van Gaal’s most recent Holland squad, and now there is serious doubt as to whether he will be a part of the World Cup 23 this summer.
Krul believes a move away to a bigger club may help his international chances, with a source close to the goalkeeper revealing he is set to consider his options at the end of the season.
“Tim enjoys playing for Newcastle but at the same time, he wants to win trophies and play at the highest level,” the source said.
“He has some important decisions to make about his future and knows if he did leave, there would be no shortage of clubs wanting to sign him.”
