Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern agree with the club’s decision to reject a loan offer from Marseille after the Daily Mail revealed that Spurs want to sell Benjamin Stambouli permanently.
The Frenchman arrived at Spurs for £4m with a lot of expectation, in terms of potential, but he has failed to push on under Mauricio Pochettino and it looks as though Daniel Levy is keen to recoup as much money as possible.
Stambouli has only been at Tottenham for one season and some punters feel it is brave decision to sell him so quick.
But this would risk his value, because if he fails to impress again, then his price tag would only get lower.
He has appeared 12 times in the Premier League this season, but he has not started a game in the competition since January.
This is partly down to the fact that he was mostly used in the Europa League, after he made 6 starts, scoring once against Partizan.
