Tottenham Hotspur fans are looking rather impressed here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro claimed that they are preparing a triple swoop that will cost them around £50 million.
One set of fans who are not too impressed however are the Swansea City contingent given all three players Spurs are keen on come from their club!
Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Wilfried Bony are on Daniel Levy’s summer wishlist and will cost a combined £50 million, with Ivorian forward Bony (pictured) making up half of that amount.
As one of our punters claims over a pint, these are three players who are tried and tested in the Premier League, meaning the issues Spurs faced with their new recruits last season should not be so prominent this time around.
Should Hugo Lloris stay, one major issue would be convincing Vorm that a role as a back-up keeper would be right for him and our regulars do not think that will be an easy task – unless Lloris leaves for Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs fans. Would you spend such a large amount of money on the Swans trio? Are they the calibre of player you should be looking towards? Let us know your thoughts below.
