Tottenham Hotspur were one of many clubs thought to have had an interest in the Europa League tie between Club Brugge and Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday night.
According to a report by Walfoot, Spurs had a scout in attendance at the game between the two sides, although it did not mention who may have been on their radar.
Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea were all thought to have been present, as Brugge recorded a 2-1 victory over the visitors.
As is well documented, Mauricio Pochettino has not added a single player to his squad in the past two transfer windows, however, that is likely to change in the summer.
However, he could have an interest in bringing an attacker to north London, with the futures of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen both remaining in doubt.
It would be interesting to find out who Tottenham were keeping tabs on in the game between Club Brugge and Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday.
As mentioned, it would not be a surprise if one of the two club’s attackers were on their radar, as the Premier League outfit could do with adding a new man to their ranks in the final third.
However, it may just well be a case of ‘lets wait and see’, especially with a number of Europe’s top clubs also having officials at the game.
