According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are ready to accept a £15m bid from Burnley for outcast Vincent Janssen.

The Dutchman has not featured this season due to surgery on his foot, but has failed to work his way into Mauricio Pochettino's plans after recovering.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Fenerbahçe, although that was an unsuccessful spell. Of the entire Spurs squad, he is surely the most out of favour figure currently, and Pochettino must be glad that someone has shown an interest in him.

However, with Harry Kane out for over a month with an ankle injury, and Son Heung-min unavailable while he is with South Korea in the Asian Cup, many would have thought that this was the perfect opportunity for Janssen to make an impression at Tottenham. Additionally, Fernando Llorente was less than impressive for Spurs at the weekend in his first game starting in Kane's absence.

The very fact that Janssen will still not get a look-in during this troubling period is a clear signal that he has no future at Tottenham, which therefore makes the prospect of £15m for The Lilywhites very attractive.

Tottenham signed Janssen from Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar for a fee of £17m. He had just scored 27 goals in the division, making him the top scorer, and was a highly-demanded 22-year-old. To be able to sell him for only £2m less than what they bought him for is nothing short of a miracle after the striker has done nothing in two-and-a-half years to develop his career. This is surely another case of Daniel Levy coming up with another transfer winner, and Tottenham should not hesitate to accept this offer.
