Tottenham would find ideal Kane back-up in 9-goal forward: 67% of polled Spurs fans agree

Tottenham need to bring in a new forward this summer, that much is clear. Fernando Llorente hasn’t done the business since moving to North London, and Harry Kane can’t be expected to carry the weight of the club on his shoulders. Naturally, then, Mauricio Pochettno will have to get his thinking boots on over the next few weeks ass he looks to find a solution.

We recently asked fans whether Michy Batshuayi would be a good option for Spurs. Granted, he didn’t have a particularly strong season at Chelsea last year before being loaned out, but his time at Borussia Dortmund was an overwhelming success. Between his time at Stamford Bridge and over in Germany, he picked up a respectable 9 league goals – which is a decent tally.

A move for the Belgian would be popular among some fans, it seems. Of those polled, 67% of Tottenham supporters indicated that they would like to see him move to North London – whilst just 33% are against the idea of a move.

Granted, the Belgian would be far from a guarantee, but if anyone can turn his English form around, it is Mauricio Pochettino. He’s had a number of success stories over the years in a similar context, and Batshuayi’s clearly got bags of natural ability.

Not to mention, he’d struggle to find a better tutor than Harry Kane.
