Spurs have been linked with a whole host of strikers this summer and the latest is West Brom’s Nigerian striker, Peter Odemwingie according to the Daily Mirror.
With the transfer deadline only a matter a couple of weeks away, Harry needs to make genuine progress in landing a goalscorer even more so now with Spurs agreeing the £3m sale of Keane to LA Galaxy.
The alternative is to start next season with last seasons goal shy strikers Crouch, Defoe an Pavlyuchenko who scored only 17 times between them in EPL. Not the most formidable of strike forces and definitely one that would struggle to break back into the much coveted top four.
Peter Odemwingie settled into life in the EPL rather quickily during his debut season last year. He notched up a more than healthy 15 goals last year, almost as much as all the Spurs strikers put together. One would think with the quality in Spurs midfield -especially if Modric stays- then Odemwingie could more than add to that tally this term.
Sky Sports understand Odemwingie has stall on contract talks with the Baggies which has alerted a number of clubs, including Wigan Athletic and Newcastle. Sky reported that Wigan had bid of around £1.5m rejected by West Brom.
