Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side have made an encouraging start to the new campaign and the Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited.
Ahead of the latest international break, the North London-based club sit third in the Premier League Table following their 4-0 dismantling of Huddersfield at the weekend.
That was their fourth win away from home in as many games and they have now accrued fourteen points from their opening seven overall. The prevailing thought from that is, however, why have they picked so few points at the own ground?
Except they are not playing on their own patch as whilst the New White Hart Lane continues its construction, the Lilywhites must call Wembley home and have struggled under infamous supposed ‘hoodoo’ of that grand venue.
Defeat to Chelsea was compounded by frustrating draws with Swansea City and Burnley, leaving them winless in their first three league fixtures at the national stadium. But they edged past Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup and delivered an exceptional performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League to win 3-1.
Now the task is to replicate the form in the Premier League and Pochettino should select this starting eleven in order to achieve that- agreed?…Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
