4-2-3-1: This Tottenham XI will dominate Gillingham in the EFL Cup

Our resident Spurs punters here in the Transfer Tavern have been debating what constitutes success for their club season and there’s some contrasting views.

Some think that after last season winning the league has to be the natural progression and with Spurs’ solid start to the season you can’t rule it out at the moment.

Then, others reckon they should just be looking to finish in the top four again with the added demand of Champions League football this season before looking to push on next year.

Finally, others want to see Tottenham lift a trophy especially in the last year of the current White Hart Lane and so the EFL Cup could be their best opportunity.

Spurs have a game against Gillingham that they’ll no doubt be confident of winning and should they do so, they’ll be into the fourth round of the competition.

Many expect Spurs to make some changes ahead of this game and rotate their squad but our landlord thinks even with a few switches, they can still win the game with this line up…
