Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern simply can’t wait to see the back of summer signing Moussa Sissoko in the next transfer window.
The France international moved to White Hart Lane from Newcastle United last summer following a spate of impressive displays for his country at Euro 2016, including a dominant performance in the final against Portugal.
But the powerful midfielder’s struggled to make an impact in north London, issued just seven Premier League starts so far this season by manager Mauricio Pochettino – and switched between roles on the right wing and in central midfield.
According to Le10Sport, however, one potential suitor has emerged on the horizon in the form of Marseille, after club favourite Basile Boli was spotted in deep conversation with the 27-year-old during a recent Ligue 1 fixture against Toulouse.
It’s further added that the 50-cap international is looking for a new challenge and could be ‘seduced’ by the idea of joining the ranks at Marseille.
Spurs fans in the Tavern are hoping the potential Marseille switch comes into fruition; although his game-time has been limited this season, Sissoko has failed to take advantage of the few opportunities given to him by the Tottenham gaffer.
