Adding £54m-rated silky attacker would surely make Tottenham genuine title contenders at last

Tottenham, bearing in mind they had to play Wembley, have had a fairly successful season as the Spurs fans within the Transfer Tavern are likely to be watching their side in their new home, playing in the Champions League.

It was a slow start to the season from Tottenham who had to again adapt to the conditions at Wembley following their permanent move from White Hart Lane but with few games left of the Premier League, they’ve done a fine job in recovering their form. Much thanks to usual suspects such as Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Heung Min Son, Tottenham look to have secured a top-four spot again, to the delight of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs will be moving into their new home at the start of next season and with that in mind, their need some star-studded players to bring with them to their stunning-looking ground. A player our punters would be thrilled to see arrive in the Premier League is Italian star Lorenzo Insigne, a player valued at £54.00 million on Transfermarkt. Napoli’s leading man has again been exceptional this season, scoring 13 goals and grabbing 11 assists in the 39 appearances so far.

He really is a quality player that possesses extremely desirable traits such as pace, agility and goal-scoring prowess, something Tottenham would love to have as part of their bid for Premier League success.

By no means will this be an easy transfer to secure as the 26-year-old has surely attracted attention from the top teams around the world but our landlord agrees that, if Tottenham want to be taken seriously as title contenders, the money needs to be spent on quality players such as Lorenzo Insigne.

Thoughts… Would Insigne be a good signing for Tottenham?
