The Tottenham fans are really becoming nervous having seen their club bring in no new players as of yet with the window soon closing.

Although Spurs already have a top squad, rivals are all spending to ensure they grow bigger and better as a team, unlike Tottenham. Despite their new stadium being opened in around a month, Spurs don't yet have a top-notch team to compete within it but that would change with the signing of Javi Martinez, a player valued at £36 million on Transfermarkt.

The Bayern Munich versatility man can play as a defensive midfielder or alternatively as a centre-back, roles he has mastered for the German champions and his country as well. The 29-year-old has bags of experience and he would bring all that to Tottenham should they consider recruiting the Spaniard.

Last season he managed 37 total appearances, where Martinez scored twice and assisted also on two occasions during those games. Tottenham would ideally like to strengthen both their centre-back options with Toby Alderweireld possibly leaving and midfield options so that they can improve on players like Moussa Sissoko and Mossa Dembele.

Tottenham have again secured Champions League football next season, something Javi Martinez is already known in having been in and around the competition for years as part of a successful Bayern Munich side. They know now they have to act quickly in regard to new signings as although their current team is strong, rivals have grown stronger which could make their top four aspirations harder once more.
