Arsenal fans take the bait on Twitter after Tottenham’s post celebrating famous derby win

The Tottenham and Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are getting riled up ahead of a  massive North-London derby this weekend…

Tottenham travel to the Emirates looking to end a run of almost 7 years without a Premier League win at Arsenal’s home ground. Their last victory away to Arsenal arrived following an epic second-half fightback that saw Tottenham overturn a 2 goal deficit courtesy of goals from Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart and Younes Kaboul.

In anticipation of one of the most exciting fixtures of the season, Tottenham’s official Twitter page have released a highlight reel of a 1-3 victory for The Lilywhites at Higbury in 1993.

Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his side can take inspiration from their sides historic victory to restore local bragging rights to the Lilywhite’s faithful and claim 3 vital points in their pursuit of league-leaders Manchester City.

The club post has sparked a fiesty reaction from both sets of supporters on Twitter and plenty of The Gunners have taken the opportunity to hit back at Tottenham in response to their defeat 24 years ago.

Here’s what the fans had to say on Twitter in response to the club’s post…
