Barcelona mull £70m move for gifted Tottenham ace

After their FA Cup win over Aston Villa yesterday, the Tottenham Hotspur fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been toasting what has been a good week for the club.

Having beaten bitter rivals Chelsea to blow the title race wide open, our north London locals are simply delighted about how things are going at White Hart Lane right now.

Still, reports from the Daily Mirror yesterday came as seriously unwelcome ones.

They claimed Barcelona are now casting keen eyes over Dele Alli, following his stunning second season in the Premier League.

Real Madrid have also been touted as a potential interested party in the England international and there’s little doubt the Lilywhites have previous in selling their best players to Spanish giants.

Both Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have left the Lane for the Spanish capital over the past few years and our drinkers in the bar really are scared about that trend continuing.

Following his two goals in the win over the Blues, Alli has been receiving plaudits up and down the country and the Blaugrana are understood to have added him to their wanted list.

A £70m fee is mooted for the 20-year-old, with the La Liga champions said to be willing to cough up such a figure in order to lure the former MK Dons man to the Camp Nou.

How far can Alli go in the game? Let us know below…
