Crucial Spurs figure hands Levy monumental boost ahead of new season

The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern who have been so delighted to welcome Vincent Janssen and Victor Wanyama to White Hart Lane this summer have been handed further good news.

While it’s barely welcoming another new arrival, our North London locals are dancing on the pool tables.

As reported by the Sun, Mauricio Pochettino has poured cold water over suggestions he could be set to take the Argentinian national job, after their Copa America heartache.

Following yet another final defeat, there were reports that the AFA were set to contact the 44-year old over the notion of taking over from Gerard Martino.

However, while he gears his side up for the new campaign, the former Southampton coach has distanced himself from an emotional return to the Albiceleste setup.

“I think the speculation is normal because I am an Argentinian coach at a top club in England”, said the ex-Espanyol chief.

“There are a lot of rumours that appear but I am very happy at Tottenham and so for that reason this is not the right moment for me.”

After a barnstorming year with the club, he penned a new five-year deal that keeps him under contract until 2021.

Will Pochettino deliver a league title to WHL during his five-year stint? Let us know below…
