The Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern were rocked when Harry Kane went off injured against Sunderland last week.
As poor as he was for England at Euro 2016, the 23-year-old is both the poster boy and the lethal spearhead for the ongoing project at White Hart Lane.
Still, the arrival of Vincent Janssen and the return to form of Heung-min Son have excited the North London locals, despite Kane’s relatively long-term ailment.
In fact, there’s an emerging school of thought that the Three Lions forward is due a rest.
As tweeted by stat supremos Opta, the striker has started every single one of the last 71 Premier League games.
Just to put that into further context, that is every single Premier League game since November 2014, almost two years ago.

Though an ankle injury is quite obviously not an ideal situation, Kane is surely due a rest.
