Tim Sherwood’s reign as Tottenham Hotspur boss has faded into the memory of the North London locals in the Transfer Tavern, now they are under the masterful stewardship of Mauricio Pochettino.
While the majority of his reign is looked upon with disdain, his tenure in the White Hart Lane dugout heralded the beginning of the young stars emerging in North London, one of those being Nabil Bentaleb.
The Algerian has since lost his way under the Argentine coach, losing his place in the squad to the likes of Eric and Mousa Dembele in North London.
Now, according to the Daily Mirror, the 21-year old is nearing a Spurs exit after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour of America, despite penning a new five-year deal only last summer.
Previously, he has been linked with French giants Paris Saint-Germain after seeing more defensive midfield options emerge, while the arrival of Victor Wanyama could see playing time decreased further.
Does Bentaleb have a future at WHL? Would a loan move be better suited to him? Let us know below…
