While the football season may be over for most of the punters in the Transfer Tavern, those supporting Tottenham Hotspur will be treated to another game.
Spurs are jetting out to Hong Kong for an end of season friendly with Kitchee SC and reports from the Independent have proved rather interesting.
According to their report, England international Kyle Walker is part of the squad flying over to the Far East, despite his future at the club remaining uncertain.
Manchester City are thought to be keen on the 26-year-old defender and Walker himself is said to have growing differences with manager Mauricio Pochettino, with the right-back dropped for games towards the end of the campaign.
He’s also been touted as a potential target for Manchester United and, despite his starring role for both club and country in recent years, many of the Spurs fans in our bar aren’t too concerned.
Fees of around £40m have been bandied about in the press, a sum of money likely to ease the pain should Walker leave.
