‘He’s the G.O.A.T’ – Tottenham fans react on Twitter as club deliver injury updates

The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to their club’s latest injury update ahead of the huge clash on Saturday night against Manchester City at Wembley. The club tweeted the news that Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters would both be missing the clash, whilst Harry Winks has been sent to Aspetar in Qatar to continue rehabilitation on an ankle injury.

The news won’t come as a major blow to Spurs as Ben Davies has been preferred at left-back over Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters for the majority of the season and Harry Winks has been out for a while now, with his last appearance coming in the club’s FA Cup replay against Rochdale at the end of February. The Lilywhites will need to be on top of their game if they’re to inflict a fourth straight defeat on Pep Guardiola’s City this Saturday, although with Harry Kane back in the team and back amongst the goals it wouldn’t be unheard of to see Mauricio Pochettino’s men walk away with all three points.

The Tottenham fans propping our bar up will be hoping to capitalise on City’s recent run of form, the Citizens have lost their last three games against Liverpool twice in the Champions League and against Manchester United last Saturday. Owing to the fact Guardiola’s side failed to beat United last week, the Premier League title won’t be mathematically confirmed at Wembley if City do beat Tottenham although it’s been a matter of when and not if City will win the league for months now.
