The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern rejoiced as Heung-Min Son’s wonderful strike handed them a narrow victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
The South Korean caressed the ball into the far corner to arrest fears of another dismal afternoon at Wembley for Tottenham- especially their enthralling win at home to European champions Real Madrid midweek. It was a frustrating game that required a moment of magic that Son was all too willing to provide and in the process, he became the Premier League’s most prolific scorer from his nation. Former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung previously held that honour but Son’s latest strike takes him up to twenty league goals in English football, usurping his countryman.
The 25-year-old joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 and despite requiring a period of adjustment to his new surroundings, his twenty-one goals across all competitions last campaign showed a player capable of performing at the highest level. His versatility, pace and work-rate across Spurs’ forward line has been invaluable and he should continue to play a key role in the success of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
With that in mind, here’s how the North-Londoners reacted to his latest accolade…
I was sat in front of some South Korean fans today, who naturally went nuts when he scored. #coys

Trophy will not be spurs
if Son doesn’t play more than right now.
