Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Tavern will be pleased with how their side performed this season, as they managed to secure a top-four finish and Champions League football in the process.
The Lilywhites will be desperate to challenge for silverware in the next campaign after finishing this season empty-handed, as many of our local residents want to see success in the Champions League.
Although, it looks as if Spurs will be busy during the summer transfer window, as it’s understood that Mauricio Pochettino will ask chairman Daniel Levy and owner Joe Lewis to sanction a £150 million overhaul of his Tottenham Hotspur squad this summer.
Interestingly, this may help establish Spurs as title contenders next season if they manage to spend the money wisely, as a couple of quality additions could help launch them up the Premier League table. But, this will all depend on whether Lewis and Levy are willing to provide the funds.
With that in mind, Mauricio Pochettino needs to bring these TWO stars to Tottenham if he’s given the money…
1) Patrik Schick
The young striker would provide good support to Harry Kane, who at the moment seems to be carrying the team on his shoulders.
He has managed to score three goals for his current club AS Roma this season and he put in a couple of classy performances against Liverpool in the Champions League.
So, Spurs should waste no time in bringing the 22-year-old to North London this summer, as he has proven his worth on the European stage and would be a dominant figure in the oppositions’ box.
2) Max Meyer
Max Meyer is one of the most exciting talents in Germany but he looks set to depart Schalke at some point, with his contract up at the end of June.
The 22-year-old boasts all of the qualities needed to become one of the top midfielders in Europe. He is an exciting midfielder with creativity being his biggest asset, so he would be sure to bolster Spurs’ midfield if he decides to make the move this summer.Like what the TT have on offer?
